This project centered on the editorial design for a photo book, showcasing an ancient fishing town in Italy. I created the concept and design together with Lars Harmsen of Slanted Publishers.

Stefan Braun, a Munich-based photographer, has found himself drawn to the charms of Monopoli in Puglia for a quarter of a century. Through the lens of his camera, he has captured the daily rhythms of life within the town's narrow streets, the vibrant commotion of the bustling fishing port, and the creations simmering in the local kitchens.

What distinguishes Stefan Braun's photography is its ability to transcend the visual realm. These are not just static images; they are visual narratives that convey the town's story without the need for words.

Beside the photographs, there can be also found regional and traditional recipes of the people of Monopoli. This book is a celebration of Monopoli's unique charm, history, and the bond between its residents and the sea. It offers readers a window into the authentic spirit of the town. Readers can explore this book, allowing to immerse in the town's ambiance, its rich history, and the intimate connection shared between its inhabitants and the sea that defines their lives.
