In this project I created iridescent AR typography and 3D type based on the idea of creating a text illusion. For the illusion, I developed the idea of merging text bodies. For this I took the words One and Two. Depending on the viewing angle, one, both or neither of the words is legible.
This experiment out of my ongoing series AR typography provides an in-depth look into the immersive world of XR design. The real time overlay of the animated 3D texts in the phone camera lense creates cutting-edge experiences. The primary focus here is to continually push the technical boundaries and explore the possibilities of typographic animations within the realm of augmented reality.
Each project represents a fusion of typography and technology, showcasing how art and digital innovation can seamlessly come together. The results are immersive and complex typographic experiences. The AR experiences are practical and usable. Users can experience them as AR lenses in Snap AR, making them accessible to a wide audience, allowing to interact with typography in immersive ways.
The series was inspired by my Master thesis Typographic Encounters, where I designed text-based AR filter for the first time. For more updates and insights, visit my instagram account.
